Which tools and platforms work with Callie?

Updated Sep 25, 20262 min read

Callie works with Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and other email providers. It streamlines scheduling through email by reading context and suggesting times from your Calendly availability.

This article explains how to use Callie with other business tools and platforms.

Email providers

Callie works with:

  • Gmail
  • Outlook
  • Apple Mail
  • Other email providers using standard email protocols

Once you add Callie to an email thread, it functions as a participant in that conversation.

Shared mailboxes

Callie doesn't natively work with shared mailboxes. However, you can use this workaround:

How to use Callie with shared mailboxes

  1. An individual team member forwards relevant emails from the shared mailbox to their personal email
  2. That person adds Callie to the thread
  3. Callie provides scheduling options
  4. The person coordinates the response and shares it back with the shared mailbox

This approach preserves security and auditability while using Callie's scheduling capabilities.

Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Callie handles email-based interview scheduling. Calendly also offers native integrations with Greenhouse and JazzHR for fully automated scheduling.

Use Callie for:

  • Complex or back-and-forth interview negotiations
  • Ad hoc scheduling requests

Use Calendly's ATS integration for:

  • Fully automated candidate scheduling
  • High-volume hiring processes

How to combine both:

  1. Receive scheduling requests from your ATS or email
  2. Add Callie to the email thread for coordination
  3. Confirm the meeting with the candidate
  4. Update your ATS with the confirmed meeting using your standard workflow

CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

Callie handles email-based scheduling conversations. Calendly offers native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for automated lead scheduling.

Use Callie for:

  • Prospect conversations that need negotiation or clarification
  • Complex scheduling requests

Use Calendly's CRM integration for:

  • Consistent, automated lead scheduling
  • High-volume sales processes

How to combine both:

  1. Use Callie for email-based scheduling conversations
  2. Once the meeting is confirmed, add it to your CRM using your standard workflow
  3. Use Calendly's native CRM integration for other scheduling

Text and chat platforms

Callie is optimized for email. For other platforms:

SMS and text messaging

If a prospect texts a scheduling request, ask them to continue via email. Then add Callie to the thread. Alternatively, send Calendly booking links directly through SMS using standard Calendly sharing.

LinkedIn Direct Messages

If scheduling starts on LinkedIn, move the conversation to email and add Callie. This keeps your LinkedIn relationship history while using Callie's natural language capabilities.

Teams, Slack, and similar tools

Share Calendly booking links directly in Teams or Slack for quick scheduling. For complex back-and-forth coordination, move the conversation to email and add Callie.
